LEEA — the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association, the UK-based trade association for the lifting equipment industry — sets training and competence standards for lifting equipment engineers. OTHM is a UK awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual, offering diplomas from Level 3 to Level 7. Established in 1979, NEBOSH is a UK-based examination board for health, safety and environmental management qualifications. Sadara delivers three NEBOSH programmes in Algeria: International Oil and Gas Certificate English, International General Certificate 2018 spec IG1,IG2 (Arabic and English) and Health and Safety at Work Qualification (Arabic and English). DROPS, the Dropped Objects Prevention Scheme, is an oil and gas industry initiative dedicated to preventing dropped-object incidents. Sadara delivers its two programmes in Algeria: 'Dropped Object Prevention Awareness' for the workforce at large and 'Dropped Object Prevention Train the Trainer' for those who will deliver dropped-object prevention training in-house. Seventeen ILM leadership and management programmes are available through Sadara in Algeria, arranged in three tiers: Level 2 for team leaders and supervisors (seven programmes), Level 3 for junior and first-line managers (six) and Level 4 for middle managers (four), each tier offered as an award, certificate or diploma. The Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI) is a US organisation providing first aid, CPR and emergency care training and certification. ANAB is the ANSI National Accreditation Board, an accreditation body for certification bodies, laboratories and inspection bodies. In Algeria, Sadara offers 21 programmes under ANAB, including focused safety courses such as H2S Awareness, H2S Breathing Apparatus, Lock Out Tag Out, Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) and Working and Rescue at Height, along with Rig Electrician. The American Heart Association develops CPR, first aid and advanced life support training programmes. Sadara's AHA line-up in Algeria is 10 programmes, from the Heartsaver® CPR AED and Heartsaver® First Aid courses through to Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), PALS and PEARS.
