About IWCF

Two strands make up the IWCF programmes on this page: well control for drilling operations, and pressure control for well intervention. The International Well Control Forum (IWCF) is the industry body for well control training and certification, serving those same drilling and well intervention operations.

The drilling strand has three programmes: 'IWCF Well Control Drilling Operations Level 2', then two at Level 3 & 4, one for surface and one for surface and subsea. The intervention strand has two: 'IWCF Pressure Control Well Intervention Level 2 (Coiled Tubing, Snubbing, Wireline)' and its Level 3&4 counterpart. Sadara delivers all five in Algeria.

Each strand starts at Level 2 and continues to Level 3 & 4. Sadara teaches both strands at its training centre in Algeria or on site with a client's crew. A custom programme can also be shaped around a particular rig or intervention team.
